"Marulan is the only town in the world to be situated on the 150 degree Meridian.

Here you are in the exact middle of the Eastern Standard Time Zone, a place where the sun rises at 6am and sets at 6pm precisely every equinox"

The Great Australian Gazetter

Meridian park was opened in the 2003 to recognise this important town feature, and provided a place for rest for the weary traveller. The most striking feature of the park is the large monument, designed by local artist Sebastian Meijbaum of Tallong. The elongated sphere represents the world, and on either side stand a representative sundial and clock.

The park certainly provides the perfect spot to rest, eat a meal and stretch the legs.
